Directions and Parking

The University of Delaware routinely uses photographers and videographers at its events. By attending a public event hosted by the University of Delaware, you grant the University permission to publish or display photographic images of you. Images may be used in promotional material, publications or other applications. 

Gore Recital Hall is located inside the David and Louise Roselle Center for the Arts (110 Orchard Road) on the main campus of the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. Ample parking is available in two University pay-to-park garages and at street meters. The nearest pay-to-park lots are on Amstel Avenue west of the Roselle Center for the Arts​; and the parking garage on West Main Street next to the Trabant University Center. From the north:

• Take I-95 South to Delaware Exit 1-B to Route 896 North, which becomes South College Avenue​ at the intersection of Route 4. 
• Continue straight on South College Avenue for 2 miles. 
• Continue straight through the intersection of South College Avenue and Park Place. 
• At the next traffic light, turn left onto Kent Way. 
• At the stop sign, turn right onto Orchard Road. 
• Turn left at the stop sign onto Amstel Avenue. 
• Take the next left into the Center for the Arts Parking Garage.​
  

From the south:

• Take I-95 North to Delaware Exit 1 to Route 896 North, which becomes South College Avenue at the intersection of Route 4. 
• Continue straight on South College Avenue for 2 miles. 
• Continue straight through the intersection of South College Avenue and Park Place. 
• At the next traffic light, turn left onto Kent Way. 
• At the stop sign, turn right onto Orchard Road. 
• Turn left at the stop sign onto Amstel Avenue. 
• Take the next left into the Center for the Arts Parking Garage.
  

From the west:

• Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike East to Route 283 South. 
• Continue on Route 283 South, which becomes Route 30 East outside of Lancaster, to Route 896 South. 
• As you approach Newark, follow Route 896 South (New London Road).
• Turn right on Hillside Road and then left on W. Main Street (DE-273). 
• As you reach campus and cross the railroad tracks, the road bends right and becomes South Main Street (DE-896).
• Continue on South Main Street and turn left at the next light onto Amstel Avenue. 
• Take the second right into the Center for the Arts Parking Garage entrance.​
  

​UD concert venues are wheelchair friendly! Gore Recital Hall is easily accessible with a wheelchair, and there is a wheelchair ramp to enter Mitchell Hall on the south side of the building. If you need wheelchair seating to attend an event hosted by UD's Center for Political Communication, please email cpc-info@udel.edu​ to make arrangements.

Handicapped parking spots are available next to the elevator on every floor of the CFA parking garage. If you need to let passengers out close to a lobby door, you can do so safely at the South lobby entrance in the parking lot off Orchard Road. (This is a restricted parking lot. There are a small number of handicapped parking spots, but they require a UD permit, so we encourage patrons to park in the CFA garage.)​​
