p.m. Doors to the theater will remain closed during the U.S. House
Debate until the event concludes. The U.S. Senate Debate begins at 8
Arrive early! We recommend that you arrive by 5:30 p.m. for the U.S. House
Debate and by 7:15 p.m. for the U.S. Senate Debate. Unclaimed tickets
will be distributed to standby guests 15 minutes before the debate
No materials with campaign slogans, logos, or political
messages are allowed inside Mitchell Hall during the Delaware Debates.
Restricted materials may include clothing, campaign materials,
literature, hats, stickers, signs, or banners. The audience is
prohibited from applauding or making noise during the debate and may not
do anything visible or audible to express support or opposition to any
candidate during the debate. Violations will prompt immediate removal of
audience members from the debate venue.
The University of
Delaware will have photographers and videographers at this event. By
attending Delaware Debates, you grant the University of Delaware
permission to publish or display images of you, which may be used in
promotional material, publications or other applications. Please let us
know if you have any concerns.

for the Fine Arts (CFA) Garage on Amstel Avenue west of the Roselle
Center for the Fine Arts. The GPS address to the CFA Garage entrance is
79 Amstel Ave., Newark, DE 19716. The CFA Garage has entrances at Amstel
Road and Elkton Road (South Main Street). Free event shuttle
service will be available to transfer guests from the CFA Garage to

From The North: Take I-95 South to Exit 1B (Newark – University of Delaware), which is Route 896 North. Follow Route 896 north into Newark, where it becomes S. College Avenue. Follow S. College northbound. Mitchell Hall is 2.4 miles north of I-95 on the right.
From The South: Take Route 13 North to the Route 1 Bypass. Follow Route 1 North and exit at Route 896. Follow for a few miles, go over the railroad tracks and make a right at the traffic light, following signs for Route 896 North. Follow for several miles, crossing the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, then Route 40 and I-95. Follow Route 896 north into Newark, where it becomes S. College Avenue northbound. Mitchell Hall is 2.4 miles north of I-95 on the right.
From The West: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike East to Route 283 South. Continue on Route 283 South, which becomes Route 30 East outside of Lancaster, to Route 896 South. As you reach campus and cross the railroad tracks, immediately turn left onto Delaware Avenue and right (at the second traffic light) onto South College Avenue. Continue southbound on South College Avenue; Mitchell Hall is 0.1 mile south on the left.
