Delaware Debates 2018 will be held at Mitchell Hall Auditorium on the University of Delaware's Newark campus on Wednesday, October 17. Guests with disabilities who require special assistance should contact us at 302-831-7771 or cpc-info@udel.edu. Mitchell Hall is accessible via a ramp located on the southern side of the building.
Doors
to Mitchell Hall open at 5:30 pm. The U.S. House Debate begins at 6:30
p.m. Doors to the theater will remain closed during the U.S. House
Debate until the event concludes. The U.S. Senate Debate begins at 8
p.m.
Arrive early! We recommend that you arrive by 5:30 p.m. for the U.S. House
Debate and by 7:15 p.m. for the U.S. Senate Debate. Unclaimed tickets
will be distributed to standby guests 15 minutes before the debate
begins.
No materials with campaign slogans, logos, or political
messages are allowed inside Mitchell Hall during the Delaware Debates.
Restricted materials may include clothing, campaign materials,
literature, hats, stickers, signs, or banners. The audience is
prohibited from applauding or making noise during the debate and may not
do anything visible or audible to express support or opposition to any
candidate during the debate. Violations will prompt immediate removal of
audience members from the debate venue.
The University of
Delaware will have photographers and videographers at this event. By
attending Delaware Debates, you grant the University of Delaware
permission to publish or display images of you, which may be used in
promotional material, publications or other applications. Please let us
know if you have any concerns.
